Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a ride.'
Just wanted to add one more thing today. Let's all take a second and be thankful we have our jobs. You may think you hate your job, but at least you're employed. My husband's company laid off 34% of their total workforce yesterday. Luckily, he wasn't one of them.

I am a newlywed, I love my husband because he's as crazy as I am. I am a Christian, I love my God because He puts up with me and His grace is what gets me from day to day. I am a step-mom, I love my step son because he is part of my husband and he's one cool kid. I am a twin, I love my brother because he's my womb-mate. I am a triathlete!!! I just finished my first race on October 8, 2006. I am passionate about many things, but politics certainly is not one of them. I like to think that I am pretty laid back, I am mastering this the older I get. I love hanging out with a group of friends that I am so lucky to have. I own a guitar and can only play 6 notes on it. I love to get it out and walk around the house and pretend that I am a rock star. This usually involves jumping and flipping my hair. I have my nose pierced and a tattoo. I can't wait to be a mom and teach my children that there is nothing better than being unique.

Pixie, is your husband with the GM plant. Anyway, glad your husband wasn't laid off. That is a blessing. My heart goes out to families who may not know how to pay their bills now.
Tin-No, he's not at the GM plant, he works for a company in Coppell. Can you imagine how scary that would be? One day you are happily employed, the next you have to figure out where your next mortgage will come from.
JT-That is great that Rick is in a field where he can get another job if need be. That makes it a little bit easier should something happen. :)
Man that is tough. I'm happy for you that your husbands job stayed. :) I have heard of big GM and Ford layoffs lately and it just makes me so sad.
