Kickball

What was I thinking when I agreed to play kickball for fun? I should know well enough that I can't just go and play ANY sport "for fun"...my competitive side just completely takes over. We had a couple of games last night and the first game we just got SPANKED. To make matters worse, the team we were playing was talking noise the entire game. That is just fuel for the fire for me. Most people can just shake it off, but not me. It's terrible. We finally got our act together for the second game and played really well. The last inning was a doozy...I over ran second base and had to go back...well in my head I thought they were going to throw it at me to get to out so at the last minute I decide to slide. Yeah, there was really no sliding that took place, just me bouncing on the bag...and jamming two fingers in the process. So, now I have two fat fingers on my left hand, I can't even wear my wedding ring. Is kickball REALLY worth it???????? Well, we won...so I say YES! It was worth it. :)

I love the idea of Kickball. Next season I so want to play. Competitive- you say that like it is a bad thing. At every kid event we do I end up turning it into a contest. My son's rock-climbing party ended in a race to the top between my brother and I. My various outings to Pump It Up have resulted in many races through the maze... against anyone willing to try to beat me. I can't help it- I hate to miss out on fun. Now I'm even coaching 3 year old's soccer just to be able to get on the field (of course I'm kidding, sort-of). My foot twitches everytime that ball comes my way...

Hey, I'm in it to Winnett!

You're a girl after my own heart.

We would love for you to be on our team, I am sure we will sign up again next season. We were short a girl on Monday and I was going to call you and then I realized that I didn't have your #, and our games were SO late. (9:15 and 10:15). Those are the only late ones we have. If we are ever short a girl, I will let you know and maybe you can fill in and see how you like it.

LOL!! That is so funny about the rock climing, I LOVE to go rock-climbing. Before my best friend moved back home :( we would go to the rock climbing gym in Grapevine 2 times a week. We were trying to get good enough to go outdoors...but she moved and I just quit going. Oh well, I have plenty of other stuff that keeps me real busy.

As fun as the rock climbing party was for my lil' one- I would love to have one for us older folks. It was such a rush- racing to the top like that. I want to do it again, like everyday. For now we're jumping on the trampoline everynight and that's fun too.

Now we're up to two upcoming parties- a girlie dress-up thing and a rock climbing event. Now we just have to come up with some $$$.

Yeah give me a call and I'll sub on the kickball team. Next year I'd LOVE to be on the team. The hubby has to give the okay but if he's cool with it- I'll/we'll be there.
